mom’z list

Why this exists

Most lists for pregnancy and early motherhood start in the wrong place.

They begin with products. Then more products. Then versions of the same product, each with a different promise.

For a woman already carrying enough decisions, this is not especially helpful.

mom'z list begins with the mother.

It is a registry, but not only a shopping list.

It is a considered starting point for what is useful, what can be prepared, and what can be left out.

Some things cost money. Some things take time. The point is that she chooses them intentionally, rather than being handed whatever other people, brands or algorithms have decided for her.

The starting lists are made by mom'z.

They are shaped by our founder Shirin, the team at mom'z, expert input, retreat experience, and what we have learned from listening to women in the mom'z community as they move through pregnancy, birth, postpartum and the early years.

They are not meant to be universal.

They are meant to be a good beginning.

Copy a list. Remove what does not fit. Add what does. Share it with the people who ask what would be useful.

mom’z began with retreats for pregnant women, built around a simple idea: the mother should not disappear in the preparation for the baby.

The list follows the same idea.

It helps her prepare what she wants around her, with less noise and more intention.

The point is not to have everything.

The point is to choose what belongs in your life, and let the people around you be part of it.
